An introduction to safe fitness progressions for the individual who is progressing from rehab to fitness classes. Its a non-competitive format, with a small group, including a Functional Movement Screen, and corrective exercises. This program was developed by Dr. Whitty as a research project as part of his Master’s of Education Degree. Some of the initial participants progressed from being Back Pain patients to being CrossFitters. Participants will learn safe lifting, strengthening and moving mechanics as they progress toward improved fitness. The workshop is open to folks who are not patients as well. Cost is $200 and begins Tuesday, Oct. 30th from 12:45 until 1;30 and Fridays from 1:30 until 2:30pm. There are 6 sessions. Class will be held at the Warehouse, 49 Pownal St.
